Interview with Musical Artist, Larie

Larie is focused. Popular in music scene with her eyes set on the top, she has a passion for her work since day one. Working on her projects day in and day out, she speaks more on her future releases. “I am working on developing a closer relationship with God, and brushing up on my writing skills, working on my EP ,and thinking about starting my Podcast. I am currently working on another EP, I am not sure when I plan to drop it, as I want to take my time with it. I am also thinking about starting my podcast. I just love being able to use my voice, even if I only help one person.”

Passionate, driven, and humble, Larie is completely adamant about making music and is motivated by her loved ones.

Her goal is to keep moving ahead and to create something meaningful with her music. Family and faith inspire her to keep going and Larie has tunnel vision . “Be genuine. Be authentic. Where ever you are in your life, own that shit. We all have a story, and maybe yours can be the missing piece to someone else’s. Stop only being motivated when you have someone, cheering you on because you want always to have that.”

Where are you from?

I am from Danville, Illinois and was also raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. I also lived in. Houston for four years.

What is inspiring you right now consistently to work on your endeavors?

The Kanye documentary and other music documentaries as well as watching award show performances as well as music videos.

How have you overcome struggles to be where you are at now?

I go back and listen to my music I recorded years ago, and hearing the growth makes me so proud of myself. It allows me to remind myself that we all start somewhere, and to be patient with myself

As a business owner, what are some obstacles have you had to overcome to get where you are at?

I Stopped looking for approval. Stopped waiting on the perfect time. Getting better with creating more and consuming less. Learning discipline and consistency. When I had to realize feelings are irrational, and I have to push myself even when I don’t feel like it.

Larie views herself as a passionate artist who has become more of an inspiration and a go-getter to others because of her work ethic and determination.

Larie went on to remark that her passion for music will always be a driving force in her life with her family as the inspiration. And that important people in her life had a significant effect on her career. “The most influential people in my life were my grandmother, my uncle, and my aunt. I just am so thankful and grateful as they always kept it real and topped it off with love. I think I get my old soul from being around them. I would like the world to meet them through me. I just look back on my childhood, and some of the greatest moments are with them mostly.”

Several artists had significant challenges in 2021 because of the breakout of COVID-19. A variety of legislation enacted at the municipal, state, and federal levels banned a huge number of large-scale events, such as concerts and festivals, from occurring. Because of this choice, the number of opportunities for artists to exhibit their talents has been dramatically reduced. However Larie places a strong focus on her music and always stayed steadfast in her journey. Currently, Larie attention is focused on continuing to pursue her musical career in order to build on her already solid foundation and take it even farther than it has already gone. In order to be successful, Larie has her eyes set on the prize and understands that staying consistent is key
