Lenzell Smith, also known as “LC” is a musical artist and entrepreneur from the South Dallas area now residing in Fort Worth, Texas. LC is on a mission to make the best art no matter what location he is in. His goal in mind is to become more serious and dedicated to his work and proving others wrong by consistently working. Even though LC is devoted to perfecting the art of his music to the highest level, and is actively working hard on his craft. “ I am creatively working To grow my online business and creating a new mixtape. My biggest inspiration is prolly my kids. I want to make sure they get the things I didn’t have growing up and the other is never really having much growing up. That makes you want a whole lot of things.” LC is an accomplished mucisian and entrepreneur who refuses to give up even when things don't go as planned. Hard working, dedicated, straight forward, he wants to keep moving forward and use his music to do good things. Afterward, his goal is to make people want to see more of him, which he has done at open mic nights. By putting in the hours of work, commitment, and inspiration both in front of and behind the scenes in the year 2022, he makes a difference in the music business. How have you overcome struggles to be where you are now?
I just keep working threw everything. I just have this feeling deep down in my gut that I'm the one. I'm the one in my family that is supposed to lift that curse and bring financial freedom to my whole family.
What do you have coming up right now that you want others to know about?
I got new music coming, I'm working on a new project that should be dropping soon and perfecting my business LC Scents. I have a physical location in Duncanville that you can pull up to and I'm working on my website Lcscentsdirect.com where you can order from all over the U.S.
Who were the most influential people in your life?
Just all successful black people. From rappers to actors to business owners. Seeing them live their lives and knowing that it was obtainable has inspired me the most.
LC is now focused on continuing to be an inspiration so that he can build on his already strong foundation even more than it already is. With all of us in the audience, he is excited about how excited we are about what he can do for the whole community. As a result of the COVID-19 epidemic, a lot of big-crowd events, like concerts and festivals, were banned in 2021. This was because of restrictions put in place by both the city and the federal government. As a result, the number of chances for artists to show off their skills was dramatically cut down in 2021. However now in 2022, Lenzell Smith is fully focused and inspired. “Even though you come from the streets and you come from nothing. its still room for you to make it big. You can definitely be your own boss and put on for you and your family. I'm a black man in America. All odds were stacked against me from the time I took my first breath. I grew up in poverty, been to jail, been discriminated against, robbed, stolen from, and plotted against.”
