Nyck Khayo is a producer, writer, and musician from Chicago, Illinoise now residing in Dallas, Texas. Psychedelic, punk rock, and grunge, Nyck Khayo is on the right path toward success and making his dreams a reality. He stays on the scene with major collaborations and behind the scene presence with upcoming artists. Nyck Khayo has all around talent that has followed him for the years. Becoming more serious, being motivated to his work, Nyck Khayo is on the mission to make it to the top. “I am working on my first LP right now, the visuals for my music, producing hip-hop beats, writing, storytelling, Directing creative concepts, mixing/mastering effects and photography. Doing quite a bit right now creatively.”
Nyck Khayo is a well-rounded artist and collaborator who refuses to give up even when things don't go as planned. His inspiration has levels, and his music has always been there as a driving force in his life and his team and himself are on the come up. “I’m dropping a dope music video Aug 12th with a new single, I’m working on a mixtape and I’m doing shows now in Dallas, Chicago, and LA. Also working on even more videos and creative art concepts. I’m going to be the Michelangelo of Hip-Hop”.
What is inspiring you right now consistently to work on your endeavors?
Other artists really inspire me to constantly release music and try different things creatively and to continue to evolve as an artist. But also, it’s the fans of hip hop music that I respect the most because they have a certain level of expectations of the type of the music, they want out right now and just listening to that and making sure that I cater to that need is I feel a duty of mine especially as an artist who has been blessed with this amazing creative talent. But ultimately it is making sure that I get to do what I love the most in the world while providing for my family in any way possible and making sure they don’t go through what we went through as kids.
How have you overcome struggles to be where you are now?
Well, I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the grace of God that gave me the strength, resilience, and endurance to power through tough times. Ultimately to overcome tough times you must focus on the better days ahead and meditate on how you will feel when you receive those blessings or those things that you yearn for. You must get good at looking beyond your current circumstances and focusing on what you have, which in turn will make you happier and able to grow past it.
Who were the most influential people in your life?
My mother and 2pac.
Even though Nyck Khayo is devoted to perfecting the art of his music to the highest level, his hardships have made him want to do even better in his business. His projects are staying aligned with his mission in making it to the top in music. Despite issues that are faced in the industry, Nyck Khayo never let go of his vision.
Nyck Khayo has a goal to make people want to see more of him, which he has already been proving. Putting in hours of work, commitment, and inspiration both in front of and behind the scenes in the year 2022, he makes a difference in the music business. “Sticking true and being true to your craft is something I strive towards, but I also feel like it's my biggest obstacle too. I’m sure when I get asked this again in a year or two it’ll be my biggest strength”.
