Getting to Know Artist, C-Diffy

Getting to Know Artist, C-Diffy

SEPTEMBER 2022 - DALLAS, TEXAS-

C-Diffy is a musical artist born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He comes from humble beginnings and has been dedicated to his work. He has focused on never stopping working and always having content to strive for. He has lots of upcoming work to look out for. “ I got an Album I’ve been working on for almost a year. I have a ton of songs for it already but I want this to be a thematic experience like no other in hip hop. Finishing this album is all that’s on my mind creatively.” With the right intentions ahead, the unique business owner is hardworking with his work, and has qualities of being philosophical, easy going, and adaptable, C-Diffy stays positive.

C-Diffy remains honest on his journey and remains heavily influenced by motivating factors. He knows where his passion starts from and speaks more on his inspirations that keep him consistent. “Where I’ve been financially and mentally in my past, my current position in life, and the future that awaits me if I don’t put most of my chips into this music stuff. The last one in particular. I think about the meaning of life a lot as I get older. You only get one life and I’ll be damned if I have regrets about not chasing my dreams to the fullest when it’s too late.” C-Diffy stays consistent and has been seen at lots of shows doing what he loves.

Give Three qualities that describe you:

1. Philosophical: I’m always in deep thought. Most people are hella surface level. I’ve never been that.

2. Easy Going: I’m the coolest, chillest guy you’ll ever meet. Sometimes I think I’m too chill. If cool, calm, and collected was a person it would be me.

3. Adaptable: A lot of people in this world is rigged as fuck. The world is always changing. If you not willing to change with it you’ll never succeed for a long period of time.

How have you overcome struggles to be where you are now?

1. Musically, a ton of Belief in myself and my potential. Nobody looks at me and expects me to be the next rap sensation. I don’t fit the typical description of a rap superstar. Everybody wants a hood Nigga or Carti clown nowadays, anything outside of that can get lost in the shadows.

2. Having a clear goal and purpose outside of being famous goes a long way, otherwise when things start looking grim what’s gonna keep ya head up. Outside of Music, I’ve tried and experienced a lot of things that didn’t work out the way I wanted them to. In dealing with those situations, you learn how to be adaptable and light on your toes. Absolutely Nothing is going to come easy to you or be given to you. If you have that mindset in life, half of the struggles you encounter will be easy to handle.

What piece of advice do you want others to take back from the work you display?

Get your mental health in check. You can have all the potential in the world but if your mental ain’t ok, you’ll never reach it. Prioritize your mental health over trying to look a certain way to impress people.

What do you have coming up right now that you want others to know about?

I’ve got a couple singles and music videos I’m gonna drop before the year ends. Then I’ll probably drop my album at the beginning of 2023. The next two singles I’m droppin are going to go crazy, mark my words. The next few months for me are going to be nothing but upward trajectory and momentum.

Even though C-Diffy is devoted to perfecting the art of his craft to the highest level, his hardships have made him want to do even better in his business as well. “There’s 2 famous sayings: “scared money don’t make no money” and “you need money to make money”. The second one is the biggest obstacle. I don’t know a lot of industry people with tons of resources. I have to get this cash and get these numbers up on my own. Any excess cash I get after paying bills goes towards music. People really don’t understand how expensive it is to make it in music. And I mean REALLY make it. Whether you’re putting up the upfront cost or you get signed, this shit is gonna cost you one day. I’d rather pay the price now and reap the benefits later but taking that route requires a lot more groundwork, patience, and self belief.” C-Diffy is now focused on continuing to be the best in his city, so that he can build on his already strong foundation even more than it already is.

C-Diffy mentions within the interview that certain individuals in his life have inspired him to be great, starting from his own family. “Musically I’d say Tupac, Kendrick, and XXXtentacion. Those 3 play a huge role in me wanting to make music. I feel like all 3 of those artists closely resemble who I am as a person. From the way they think about the world to the music they made, I studied them a lot. Outside of a few family members, there’s not that many people I can say are really influential on me and my life. I look at guys like Kobe and Tom Brady and get inspired. The amount of consistent dedication and hard work they put in to be the greatest is incredible. They taught me that the most talented people in the world aren’t always the ones that win, it’s the ones that work the hardest on their craft. Talent can get you through the door but hard work will keep you in the room. Once I get in, they gon have to drag me out. That’s my philosophy.”

As a result of the COVID-19 epidemic, a lot of big-crowd events, like concerts and festivals, were banned in 2021. This was because of restrictions put in place by both the city and the federal government. As a result, the number of chances for artists to show off their skills has been dramatically cut down. However, C-Diffy remained steadfast through it all.
