Tony Peters, also known as ‘Stony P’ or ‘Lone Wolf’ is a rapper born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Also traveled to other parts around the world, he is diverse with his sounds and is on the path toward success. His dedication and skills to his craft has remained consistent and unique since the beggining. Stony P has focused on never stopping working and always having content to strive for. “It’s a lot of different projects that I’m working on. There’s three projects. The first one is 'Just Because' which is just like what Lil Wayne and Dj Drama did with ‘The Dedication’ mixtape series, it remixes songs that I want to put my twist on them, so far for that project I got ten to thirteen songs. The second one is ‘Addiction 2’ which is a part two to a tape I dropped last year and that’s probably one of my favorite projects I’ve done so far due to the vibe and space I was in while I was recording. I got a couple of gems on there. And lastly is ‘Lone Wolf 3’, I been working on that project for about 5-6 years and that’s because I want to recapture that feeling I had back then and elevate it.” With the right intentions ahead, the unique artist is hardworking with his work, and has qualities of being loyal, focused, and helpful. Stony P stays positive and has great intentions with his work.
Stony P remains honest on his journey and remains heavily influenced by motivating factors. He knows where his passion starts from and speaks more on his inspirations that keep him consistent. “What is inspiring me is just wanting to be the best rapper and artist that I can be. I got a lot shit that I want to work on and I’m always trying to find that new sound or flow or just something that I can be myself on, you know.” Stony P stays consistent and has been seen at lots of shows doing what he loves.
As a business owner, what are some obstacles have you had to overcome to get where you are at?
Finding a platform or a fanbase I could release my music for.
What do you have coming up right now that you want others to know about?
I'm working on a lot of music at the moment but I definitely got something in the vault that I did recently to drop, you can expect to hear a tape by the end of the year.
Who were the most influential people in your life?
My dad because of his work ethic and how driven he is, he instilled in me to be the best I can be at whatever I do and I carry that same mindset when I’m recording in the studio.
Stony P has his sights set on the right goals and sees only growth for the upcoming future. “I’ve always kept a positive mindset and I feel like as long as you have a positive attitude about things then everything that is a hurdle will go away. Always keep working and perfecting your craft, this is an art form, a skill that people would love to have. I have been doing this since I was seven, and I have seen a lot of guys come and go just due to the lack of passion they have and I hate to see it. You really got put in that work to be considered in high regards as one the best because there are so many rappers nowadays, rather it be male or female, so you gotta do better than your last song or verse.”
Now, with his listeners, he is motivated by the thought of making a difference not just in this world but when he hits the stage to perform and in the studio working hard no matter where he is. His upcoming projects are only expanding. His self motivation is an inspiration for others, and he stays steadfastly on his journey with music.
