Another Stroke of Genius of Guillermo del Toro;  Pinocchio / Olmo Cuarón’s Animations

Latin America has great filmmakers, including Guillermo del Toro and Alfonso Cuarón

Indeed, Guillermo del Toro has elevated the name of Mexico, his home country, with his film productions.

In recent decades, he has prduced and directed memorable films, including Pan’s Labyrinth and The Shape of Water.

With the latter, he won his first Oscar during the ninetieth edition of the Academy Awards that took place in 2018 in the heart of Hollywood.

Guillermo del Toro is also a very talented film screenwriter and editor, and all throughout his professional career he has worked in different film genres.  

Another passion of his is the animation by frames. Therefore, it is no surprise that he is behind the most recent version of Pinocchio which was fully made in stop motion.

This animated film could succeed in the upcoming Academy Awards and Guillermo del Toro, who collaborated in the film as writer, producer, and musical composer, could be a winner.

Alfonso Cuarón Succeeds in Hollywood

Alfonso Cuarón has been succeeding non-stop on Hollywood. He is one of the most successful film producers and directors of all time, which has earned him everyone’s respect and admiration.

He has won in two occassions the award for “Best Director”. This means that he has already two Oscars: one for directing Gravity and another for directing Roma.

He has also been awarded several BAFTA Awards and has experienced the sweet smeel of success in imortant international festivals throughout the years.

Olmo Cuarón’s Animations

Alfonso Cuarón is the father of Olmo Cuarón, who has proven to hava a natural talent to create videos and animations in stop-motion.

In fact, Olmo Cuarón’s animations reveal his natural preference for art.

Undoubtedly, he shares this artistic vein with his father who is one of the most important icons of the big screen.

Olmo Cuarón also shares with Guillermo del Toro the beautiful enthusiasm for animations, since the latter enjoys the animations with frames and even considers them to be a great manifestation of film.
