Where are you from?
I’m from Mississippi. The deep south. I’ve had my share of country life, and it was awesome, I just couldn’t make enough money to support my family. I moved to Dallas chasing better jobs and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I crave city life. You won’t find me hanging around any neighborhoods with school zones, I’ll be in the city, in the streets socializing with strangers and soaking up the culture.
Give Three qualities that describe you:
I read music and play piano by ear. Sound and recording engineer. Also well versed in electronics. I repair Hammond organs and portable keyboards.
Who were the most influential people in your life?
My high school band director, my college piano instructor, and Bruce Wayne the Batman.
Jesse Del Queens adds what certain aspects he would like to be remembered for and how he wants to create a legacy for others. “You have to be ok with supporting yourself. Not too many, if any at all will help you. It’s your dream, it’s your goals, so the responsibility falls on you. Focus on your story. Your story will always outshine anything that is not real.”
Although Jesse Del Queens is entirely focused on perfecting the art of his work, his trials have encouraged him to strive for even greater accomplishment. “I have overcome struggles by being determined to never stop moving towards my goal is the key to overcoming my struggles. This is my life hack. It doesn’t matter what happens or what I’ve lost, I can always continue.”
The emphasis of Jesse Del Queens concentration is now on continuing to pursue his musical profession in order to build his already strong foundation even further than it is already. Jesse Del Queens has his sights set on the prize and realizes that in order to be successful, diversity is key.
