What is inspiring you right now consistently to work on your endeavors?
What has been inspiring me the most is my peers and all the creatives I am surrounded by. This year I started working with UV Sound, a New Orleans based record label dedicated to helping develop artists with unique visions and I’ve been blessed to be a part of a family of talented and driven artists that are consistently working and improving their craft. They not only support my creative endeavors, but they push me to stay consistent in my work and I attribute a lot of my growth as an artist this year to them.
As a business owner, what are some obstacles you have had to overcome to get where you are at?
Some obstacles I had to overcome when turning my passion into a business, is knowing my worth and setting boundaries. I love creating and it honestly doesn’t feel like a job, so when I first started off freelancing, I would undercharge people, but still put in a lot of time and effort to create a quality product. I realized I was only hurting myself in the end because I wasn’t able to invest back into my business and was really keeping myself small by not fully knowing the value of my work.
Due to B. Winnie's established standing within the music business, her body of work continues to expand. The influence of this has been seen throughout her whole career, as she has shown her organizational skills and collaborative abilities via active involvement in a multitude of diverse initiatives. B. Winnie is a diligent musician who exhibits strong work ethic and has promising prospects for her future career. Despite the unpredictable nature of real-world circumstances, B. Winnie consistently demonstrates unwavering perseverance.“The biggest obstacle I had to overcome to be where I am right now is fear. The only way I could have overcome it is through a lot of prayer and faith. I used to be scared to fail, scared to try, and scared to put myself out there and I slowly became hyper aware of how stagnant I had become. I was really the only person holding me back from tapping into my potential. Going through that dark season, I began to call out to God a lot because I knew I couldn't continue to live in fear of the unknown, but He told me he wouldn’t give me anything that I could not handle and that was the point when I stepped out of Faith and started to walk in my purpose. I still get scared to put myself out there and share my work, but now I’m able to push past that feeling because I know that the art that I’m called to create is way bigger than me.”
B.Winnie is ambitious and committed to achieving her objectives.
B.Winnie is not only a competent industry leader, but also a woke individual. She believes that the influence of her work will allow her to achieve greater professional achievement and have a positive impact on the world. B.Winnie vows to draw inspiration from all of her experiences and works diligently. As she concludes, she provides the readers with a piece of inspiration to carry with them.
“The piece of advice I want people to take away from watching any of my films or listening to my music is that they’re not alone. With a lot of my work, I tend to be very vulnerable and open about my struggles with mental health, financial burdens, relationships, etc. but I think it ends up allowing people to be able to relate and know that there is a community of people that understands what they’re going through. The good, the bad, the ugly, you never have to go through any of it alone.”
