Artist, Manii, Has A Unique Sound

DALLAS, TEXAS/MARCH 2024-

Arman Najibi, also known as ‘Manii’ is a musical artist from the Dallas, Texas area. Manii stays devoted and works hard on his craft. To become more serious and dedicated to his business, Manii only looks in one direction, and that’s ahead. “Honestly what am I not working on? at the moment, I’m slowly building up the tracklist for a massive multi-artist collab album with various other artists that I meet online. I’ve also been thinking about a completely separate, more politically-radical type of project that at the moment is more of an idea than an actual project, but still something I’d like to make down the road. Outside of that, it’s mostly just been promo for my latest album releases! I recently put out two new albums! One is a personal, solo project and the other is a joint collaboration with another artist! They’re great listens and are full of something for everyone!” Aspirational, nerdy, and an overthinker, Manii is a well-rounded artist and creator who refuses to give up even when things don't go as planned.

Despite the struggles he’s faced throughout his career, he’s continued to strive as an artist and has made a difference even within his own hometown. His knowledge has helped him overcome hurdles that have made him who is now. “Honestly, one of the biggest challenges for me has always been getting my foot in the door of whatever new thing I’m interested in, and when it comes to art, there are a lot of doors to go through, both creatively and also as a brand/business. They say that artists of today have to wear a lot of different hats - which is true - and I think my biggest challenge has always been approaching those new avenues and overcoming the learning curves required to become comfortable within them.” As an artist, Manii is currently concentrating on expanding upon his already solid base for his business. Manii has been aware of this and admits that his qualities of being versatile, witty and lyrical. Having bars as an artist, he is only getting better. “I have always lived by the philosophy that throughout my life, no matter what struggles or challenges I’ve faced, in the end I’ve always made it out the other end. After all, I’m here right now, aren’t I? Despite all the times I’ve felt at my lowest, at the end of the day, it all passed and I always came out the other end. And so that’s something I always tell myself, even to this day. There’s nothing I can’t and haven’t overcome before, so there’s nothing I can’t overcome now.”

Manii understands the importance of being faithful and steadfast on his journey and being able to stay focused through his endeavors. Manii kept it consistent and moving all throughout and even now in 2024.

What is inspiring you right now consistently to work on your endeavors?

Honestly, listening to music always makes me want to make some music of my own. Hearing dope songs always lights a fire in me that makes me tink, “man, I wanna make something like that” and so I’m always in that constant state of creative desire.

Who were the most influential people in your life?

Well first of all, I draw a lot of artistic inspiration from the like of Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Kanye, and various others - artists who make high quality music that also means something to a lot of different people - as well people like Muhammad Ali who have always stood strong and confident in the face of whatever was ahead of them. Another much closer and more personal influence on me is probably my girlfriend. It’s not everyday you meet someone who can make you feel so comfortable and so safe, and who tries to support you in every way that they can. Aside from all that, I’d also have to say all the countless hardworking, motivated individuals I’ve met throughout my life, who always make me want to pursue something in order to improve and better myself.

Manii’s goal is to make people want to see more of him, which he has done already by putting in the hours of work and commitment. Both in front of and behind the scenes in the year 2023, he makes a difference in the business and music world. Even though Manii is devoted to perfecting the art of his fashion to the highest level, his hardships have made him want to do even better in his business as well. He points out some advice to people to finish the interview. “I think I’d like people to listen to my music and not only hear the passion but also the emotion behind it. And while it’s not necessarily advice that I’d want someone to take, I think what I love the most is the idea of someone hearing the music I make and being inspired by it themselves, whether it’s to do what I do, or to try out any other ventures. I make music because it’s what I’m drawn to and it’s how I express myself, and I want that to effect whoever is listening to it.”
