Milton Castro, also known as ‘Kaztro’, is a musician and producer from Dallas, Texas. While building himself through his career in Dallas, Texas, Kaztro stays devoted and works hard on his craft. To become more serious and dedicated to his business, Kaztro only looks one direction, and that’s ahead. "Currently working on my final EP ‘Azul’ a project that emphasizes heavily on coming to terms with love and all the emotions, trials and tribulations that follow. Understanding that love doesn't mean perfect relationships and values, instead meaning accepting the flaws that are reflected upon us and our significant others in such a way that bonds us both physically and spiritually forever.” Kaztro is a well-rounded business owner who refuses to give up even when things don't go as planned.
Kaztro understands the importance of being faithful and steadfast on his journey and being able to stay focused through his endeavors. Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, a large number of large-scale events, such as concerts and festivals, were prohibited in the year 2021 and 2022. This was due to the limits imposed by both the city and the federal government on the movement of people. Therefore, the number of opportunities for artists to demonstrate their abilities was drastically reduced. But Kaztro kept it consistent and moving. “I was persistent, never stopped recording, even if it wasn't the best song, I still followed through and trusted the process every time. Similar to going to the gym I'd say, you don't see results from one day to the other, you see results through months of dedicated reps and laps around the track. I'm on the verge of a breakthrough that I've been working towards for some time now. I'm excited to share these sounds with the world and continue pursuing happiness through art and leaving a positive impact before it's all said and done.”
As an artist, Kaztro is currently concentrating on expanding upon his already solid base for his business. Successful individuals make investments in themselves as well as in others who will assist them on their path to success. Kaztro has been aware of this and admits that his qualities of being experimental, lyrical, and a skillful audio engineer have taken him far. “The fact that the only way I've ever learned how to express myself was through sounds and written words. As a kid, I actually kept a binder full of pages filled with songs.. I titled it ‘The Lab : Raps & Freestyles’ aka the ‘Book to my Career.’
What piece of advice do you want others to take back from the work you display?
Enjoy the moment, imagine your sessions to be similar to something very important in your life, something that has substance and that will be carried out forever long after you're gone. Make sure every word said is said with true intention and meaning, the more you feel your own message the more your listener relates and creates that connection with you. Love your craft and find new ways of inspiring yourself everyday, that's how you evolve your sound.
Who were the most influential people in your life?
My oldest brother (32) played an important role in introducing me to what all there was to know about music. I remember he had a computer full of music with any genre I could think of. That's really how everything came together for me, discovering new genres and sound has been a hobby for me for as long as I can remember.
Kaztro’s goal is to make people want to see more of him, which he has done already by putting in the hours of work and commitment. Both in front of and behind the scenes in the year 2023, he makes a difference in the business and music world. Even though Kaztro is devoted to perfecting the art of his fashion to the highest level, his hardships have made him want to do even better in his business as well. “Location has always been my number one issue when it came to hoarding clientele in a single location as a local producer in Dallas, Texas. Competition was definitely on the rise at the time since many talented producers were coming out and making a name for themselves among top names in the game. On top of also being an artist myself it was a challenge managing the time that was dedicated to my music,plus the music of the artists i was working with also. I remember when I first started doing sessions, I was mobile and driving all over the DFW searching for the next big thing in music. After many altercations and sessions, many lessons were learned, but the most important lesson was respecting my time and values, you will be tested if you chose to follow his path. Stay vigilant and aware of your surroundings when working with new artists, don't make it about money, but know your time is precious, don't let anyone waste it.”
Despite the passage of time, a brand called #Focuseddd continues to emphasize the abilities and motivations of individuals who have a strong purpose for what they do, such as Milton Castro, also known as ‘Kaztro’.
